Our refurbished sports equipment is up to 40% cheaper and more sustainable than buying new. It is completely renewed and carefully tested by experts. This is also the advantage over, for example, used skis, bicycles or fitness equipment. In addition, we have sports equipment made from recycled materials in our range. Refurbed products have at least a 12-month warranty and a 30-day trial period.

Surf feeling in a whole new way

What happens when freeride legend Jeremy Jones collaborates with surf shaper Chris Christenson? You’ll get a snowboard to surf pow lines and a fun machine for the whole mountain. Exactly that’s the Mind Expander. The board is fun in every terrain and gives you a surf feeling you never knew before when snowboarding.

Riding Style

The Mind Expander brings snowboard meets surf to a new level. The playful all mountain board is fun on any terrain!

Shape

The sidecut and flex, as well as the inserts of the Hybrid Directional Shape, are moved to the back. Combined with the Spoon 3.0 Base, a freeride focused 3D-base contour featuring an even balance of 7mm of spoon bevel in the nose and 7mm of spoon bevel in the tail, floatation is guaranteed.

Profile

Custom** tip/tail rocker profile **designed by surf shaper Chris Christenson for boards like the Mind Expander. The nose rocker starts just inside of the front inserts and the tail rocker starts just at the back inserts. When you weight the tail of the board the nose ramps up out of the snow for insane float on the deepest days. These subtle rocker contours match a Christenson surfboard rocker profile.

Flex

A medium flex (6/10) will ensure precise response, yet with enough flex to butter and jib.

Construction

The heart of the Mind Expander is a re-designed triple density Bamboo Surf Core that features primarily paulownia stringers with bamboo stringers positioned in the pocket of the sidecut for better edge response and turns power. The **Web Fused Carbon **is a new carbon stringer pack that blends different widths of carbon matched to the specific needs of the board model. Featured on the surf collection models to eliminate nose vibration. A dual-direction, dual-layer, stitched fibreglass laminate provides a fun, forgiving and snappy ride. The **ECO-Plastic Topsheet **is made from Castor beans. This eco-material is ultralight, chip/scratch resistant and water/snow repellent (snow sticks less to topsheet). The Sintered 9900 Base, made of Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW-PE) and carbon is easy to repair thanks to the UHMW-PE. All Jones Snowboards are factory tuned at the tip and tail so you can go right from the shop to the mountain.

How is “refurbished” classified?
We want to offer affordable and environmentally conscious sports equipment without compromising on quality. Each item undergoes a refurbishment and quality control process to ensure it meets the high quality you can expect from refurbed. All our "refurbed" items are in perfect operating condition and are primarily graded based on visible signs of wear:
Excellent: Minor, not immediately visible optical defects.
Very good: Minor, visible optical defects.
Good: Visible optical defects.
What does "recycled" mean?
In line with our circular thinking, refurbed Sports offers not only refurbished products, but also new sports equipment made from recycled materials. This includes upcycled materials, old stock, pre- and post-consumer recycling, and other waste. By reusing existing materials, we minimise waste, consume fewer resources, and contribute to a better environment.
How does refurbed guarantee the quality of the products?
Only professional and certified refurbishers are allowed to offer their products on refurbed. We monitor customer satisfaction and refurbisher performance closely and conduct regular quality tests to ensure an excellent shopping experience for all. And finally, all our refurbishers are based within the EU to enable fast delivery times and optimal contact with the refurbisher.
How does the 30-day free trial work?
If you are not satisfied with your order, you can return it for free within the 30-day free trial. You can contact the refurbisher directly via your customer account and let them know that you want to exchange or return your item. Alternatively, you can of course also contact our refurbed customer service. We are happy to help and contact the refurbisher for you. You will receive a free return label from the refurbisher by email or in your customer account.
What are my warranty conditions?
We offer you a 12-month statutory warranty. This covers all defects, i.e. everything that is considered poor workmanship of the product and was not caused by your own actions.
Which environmental protection projects do we invest in?
We have planted over 6.6 million trees since our foundin, and we are very proud! We realised that planting trees alone does not tackle all of the environmental issues we a passionate about, however. That's why we now also support projects that
- restore landscapes — ecosystems are repaired and jobs are created, including tree planting along the way
- remove carbon from the atmosphere and store it permanently
- recycle electronic waste and reuse materials
