This is also the advantage over, for example, used skis, bicycles or fitness equipment. In addition, we have sports equipment made from recycled materials in our range. Refurbed products have at least a 12-month warranty and a 30-day trial period.

You can only enjoy the descent to the fullest, when your splitboard bindings, feel like your normal snowboard bindings. The Union Explorer binding focuses on a natural board feel, fewer moving parts and a sturdy design for the longest tours and steepest lines.

Split Pin System The Union Split System is quick and easy to use. To switch to ride mode, simply place the binding on the disc which is mounted to the board, slide the pin under the baseplate and you’re good to go. To switch to walk mode, pull the pin out again, place the binding on the touring brackets and push the pin back in.

Highback The EXP2 Highback was developed specifically for splitboarding. It comes with a quick-release for the tilt angle (Forward Lean). This allows you to switch from touring to riding mode with just one hand movement.

Baseplate Mixed with carbon, Duraflex CB is lighter and much stiffer than typical glass-reinforced nylon parts. The footbed has a special Non-Stick™ coating. This prevents ice from forming on the footbed and highback.

Straps The ExoFrame 4.0 ankle straps are the ultimate connection between boot and binding. The progressive flex allows for a quick response and power transfer for demanding riding at high speeds. The thermoplastic anti-slip material of the wide TS-2.0 toe straps keep your boots bombproof and secure in the bindings. The Magnesium 3.0 buckles are made of magnesium and aluminium. A good combination of light weight and stability.

Each item undergoes a refurbishment and quality control process to ensure it meets the high quality you can expect from refurbed. By giving these items a second life, we can both reduce waste and offer more affordable sports equipment.

How is “refurbished” classified?

We want to offer affordable and environmentally conscious sports equipment without compromising on quality. Each item undergoes a refurbishment and quality control process to ensure it meets the high quality you can expect from refurbed. All our "refurbed" items are in perfect operating condition and are primarily graded based on visible signs of wear:
Excellent: Minor, not immediately visible optical defects.
Very good: Minor, visible optical defects.
Good: Visible optical defects.

What does "recycled" mean?

In line with our circular thinking, refurbed Sports offers not only refurbished products, but also new sports equipment made from recycled materials. This includes upcycled materials, old stock, pre- and post-consumer recycling, and other waste. By reusing existing materials, we minimise waste, consume fewer resources, and contribute to a better environment.

How does refurbed guarantee the quality of the products?

Only professional and certified refurbishers are allowed to offer their products on refurbed. We monitor customer satisfaction and refurbisher performance closely and conduct regular quality tests to ensure an excellent shopping experience for all. And finally, all our refurbishers are based within the EU to enable fast delivery times and optimal contact with the refurbisher.

How does the 30-day free trial work?

If you are not satisfied with your order, you can return it for free within the 30-day free trial. You can contact the refurbisher directly via your customer account and let them know that you want to exchange or return your item. Alternatively, you can of course also contact our refurbed customer service. We are happy to help and contact the refurbisher for you. You will receive a free return label from the refurbisher by email or in your customer account.

What are my warranty conditions?

We offer you a 12-month statutory warranty. This covers all defects, i.e. everything that is considered poor workmanship of the product and was not caused by your own actions.

Which environmental protection projects do we invest in?

We have planted over 6.6 million trees since our foundin, and we are very proud! We realised that planting trees alone does not tackle all of the environmental issues we a passionate about, however. That's why we now also support projects that
- restore landscapes — ecosystems are repaired and jobs are created, including tree planting along the way
- remove carbon from the atmosphere and store it permanently
- recycle electronic waste and reuse materials
